ReStore Coordinator

Wage: $13 – $15 / Hour

Job Type: Full-time

This team member is often the first point of contact for the donors, shoppers and volunteers of the ReStore; therefore, it is essential that they have great customer service skills in person, on the phone and online.They have a professional demeanor and a strong work ethic.The Coordinator is a person who is able to provide a positive experience to all who interact with them, even in the most challenging situations. They are able to communicate ideas and issues to their colleagues and the ReStore Manager, and find solutions to customer inquiries. This person plays a supportive role to the Manager in order to maintain and improve the operations of the store. Their eager attitude enables them to be a productive person who also brings innovative and solution focused perspectives to various issues that affect operations.


  • The ReStore Coordinator is responsible and accountable for the implementation, efficiency and continuous improvement of the Donor Experience Protocol. This responsibility is to be implemented in collaboration with the Warehouse Coordinator. The ReStore Coordinator is directly responsible for:
    • Ensuring proper execution of the Donation experience protocol by staff and volunteers;
    • Schedule all donation pick-up requests and manage transportation logistics;
    • Processing donor information, update database, process tax receipts, follow-up phone calls and sending cards of appreciation;
    • Collaborating effectively with the Warehouse Coordinator to ensure that the Donor Experience protocol is properly executed, updated and improved;
    • Creating and submitting regular donor reports.
  • The ReStore Coordinator is responsible and accountable for the implementation, efficiency and continuous improvement of the Customer Experience Protocol. This responsibility is to be implemented in collaboration with the Merchandise Coordinator. The ReStore Coordinator is responsible for:
    • Creating and submitting various sales reports
    • Creating in-store signage for displays and events
    • Following up with customers sold items that have not been picked up
  • In addition, the ReStore Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day duties of the ReStore, including:
    • Ensure that HFHC Branding Policies are followed in all ReStore signage;
    • Ensure that all other ReStore Policies and Protocols are respected, enforced and amended if necessary ie: sold items, warranty, refunds, etc;
    • Ensure that the Volunteer Experience Protocol is implemented in collaboration with the ReStore Manager ie: completed criminal record check, signed waiver, sign in/out sheets, etc;
    • Responsible for cash register transactions, end of day reconciliation, deposit preparation and daily sales reporting;
    • Responsible for maintaining clean cash area and adequate inventory of supplies;
    • Coordinate time off and vacation requests along with completing ReStore staff schedule to ensure store operation minimum 1 month in advance.
    • Ensure that all Health & Safety Protocols are followed at all times in a pro-active manner
    • Attend team meetings
    • Acting as a team player who works collaboratively and effectively within an environment of respect, solution-finding, open & honest communication and innovativeness
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Able to lift at least 20 lbs
    • Will be available to work approximately 35-40 hours per week, including Saturdays.
    • Requires the physical ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. This individual must stand, stoop, bend, grasp.
    • Will perform other duties as directed by store management.

    • Experience: Customer Service Experience (1 year, required)
    • Education: Secondary School (preferred)
    • Language: Bilingual – English + French (preferred)


2. ReStore Associate

# of Positions: 2

Wage: $12/Hour

Job Type: Full-time


  • ReStore 950 Mountain Road currently has openings for 2 Associates under the Youth Employment Fund. Please review all information regarding this program and if you meet the requirements forward your complete resume and cover letter
  • 30 hours per week for a period of 26 weeks potentially leading to permanent
  • Shifts will vary between Monday to Saturday and hours of 8am-6p


  • The ReStore Associate is responsible for assisting in processing, pricing and placement of merchandise, along with general maintenance and customer service duties as directed.
  • The ReStore Associate works in collaboration with the Merchandising and Backshop Coordinators and is responsible and accountable specifically for:
    • Preparing merchandise for floor, cleaning, repairing, pricing
    • Collecting information on donor information slips for processing
    • Placing merchandise on the sales floor within specified departments
    • General maintenance of the store, sweeping, mopping, bathrooms etc.
    • Responsible to dispose of all scrap and recycled materials
    • Safely move and load customer purchases into their vehicle
    • Maintain organized donation drop off zones
    • Exterior maintenance of building ie garbage, snow removal etc.
    • Ensure that Health & Safety protocols are followed at all times
    • Will perform other duties as directed by store management.
  • Additional Requirements: 
    • Able to lift at least 40 lbs and participate in team lifts
    • Education: Secondary School (Preferred)
    • Language: Bi-lingual French/English (Preferred)
