When not painting furniture, Jasmine Verge works as a public servant. She is currently raising funds for her third Habitat for Humanity – Global Village humanitarian trip, through her own Chairs for Charity fundraiser and is thrilled to partner with Habitat for Humanity Moncton’s Chairs for Charity event. Previous trips have included Zambia in 2013 and Malaysia in 2014 where she participated in building homes for families in need and discovered her talent for mixing mortar! She believes in the travelling with a purpose and hopes to once again, help a family in need build a safe home within the next year.
In order to fundraise for her next trip, she has been up cycling old school chairs and turning them into one of a kind pieces. Each chair is stripped down and repainted and then découpaged. All proceeds will help her to raise the funds required for her next humanitarian trip.
