Habitat for Humanity Moncton is excited to announce the second annual CHAIRS FOR CHARITY fundraiser. Habitat Moncton will be working with local designers to refinish one-of-a-kind vintage chairs and ReStore Inspired DIY Projects. Each chair will be sold during a LIVE AUCTION with 100% of the proceeds going directly to our housing program.
ABOUTHabitat For Humanity is a non-profit organizationwhose mission is to build strength, stability and self-reliance through homeownership. Though we do receive in-kind donations, such as building materials from community sponsors, in order to achieve our objective Habitat For Humanity also requires financial support to cover the many additional expenses involved in housing projects. Chairs for Charity is Habitat for Humanity Moncton’s annual fundraising event. We work along side local designers to refinish a one-of-a-kind vintage chairs that will be sold at our live auction event! 100% of the proceeds go directly towards our housing program. Habitat Moncton will follow the progress of each chair as designer give new life to each piece. You won’t want to miss this very special event!
Currently HFH Moncton is seeking artists, designers, hobbyist and D.I.Y. enthusiasts to join our team. If you are a creative person or team of people living in the Greater Moncton Area, HFH Moncton is looking for chair designers and ReStore Inspired DIY enthusiasts to create one-of-a-kind projects for our ‘Chairs for Charity’ 2018 fundraising event.
Chair designers will have the opportunity to choose one unique chair from HFH Moncton’s ReStore inventory with the objective of giving each vintage chair a new life for a new home. In addition, this year HFH Moncton is opening applications to those who would be interested in submitting an alternative item and are accepting applications for ReStore Inspired DIY Projects.
Participants will have approximately 3 months to complete their project, and will later be sold at auction with 100% of the proceeds going towards HFH Moncton’s housing programs which are taking place in Southeastern New Brunswick.
